FILMS FOR PEACE presents:
"Beyond the Mirage: The Face of the Occupation"

FRIDAY, Jan 21, 7:00 PM, at VELOCITY CAFE, 2127 Lincoln Blvd, at Pacific St. in Santa Monica. (Three blocks south of Pico Blvd.) ... a tour of the Palestinian occupied territories, under Israeli rule for 30 years.

The human rights organization "B'Tselem" in Israel focuses on one of the most critical of human tragedies. It is the Israeli information center for human rights in the occupied territories. Too often the conflict between Israelis and Palestinians is presented in black and white terms. This in itself is a form of injustice. 'Beyond the Mirage: The Face of the Occupation' is an opportunity to hear from people who actually live in the region. It goes beyond the image, beyond what we get from our media.
